✨ SATURDAY ✨

📍stop 1: partnachklamm

🥾arrive in partnachklamm early (open from 8 am)

🚌 bus or park by the Olympic ski slopes then walk 20 minutes to the entrance

💸 it costs around €7.5 euro to enter

📍stop 2: eibsee

🚌 bus to eibsee (can park at parkplatz am eibsee - costs €8)

🌿 start by hiking around the lake (7 km - easy)

🏊🏼‍♀️ swimming here is a must!

📍stop 3: grainau
📸 quick stop in grainau for a stroll (highlight here is the church)

✨ SUNDAY ✨

📍stop 1: hiking from kreuzeck to höllentalklamm

⛰️ the hike is around 15 km total (with cable car) and takes 5-6 hours

🚠 take kreuzeckbahn up (€33) or hike (adding 2-3 hours to total time)

⛰️ hike to hupfleitenjoch saddle then schwarzenkopf peak and then down to knappenhäusen

🍻make your way to höllentalangerhütte - perfect for a little break

📸 make your way to höllentalklamm, it will be open to enter from this side but you will have to pay for it when you exit on the other side (€6)

🚌 walk to hammersbach and from there locate a small trail heading back to the parking lot by the cable car station

📍stop 2: geroldsee

📸 end your trip with a visit to geroldsee

I can’t believe people come to copenhagen and don’t add this spot to their itinerary! 📸

📍 dragør and amager fælled

located just 30 minutes away from the city center and just 10(!) minutes away from the airport, it’s actually so easy to visit this charming village 🧚🏼‍♀️

as a local who has seen a fair share of cute danish villages, this one quickly became my favorite 😮‍💨

in addition, denmark is known for its beautiful countryside, and this is a great way to experience that just outside the city🌞

how to get here by public transport ✨
🚌 from the city center: from the city hall (Rådhuspladsen) you can take bus 250S to dragør stationsplads. The bus ride lasts around 45 minutes.

✈️ from the airport: take bus 35 going towards sundbyvester plads and ride it for 15 minutes until you reach dragør stationplads (it comes every 15 minutes or so)

other ways to get here ✨
🚗 by car: it will take just under 30 minutes to drive here from the city center and you can find parking by the harbor

🚴🏼‍♀️ by bike: if you want to embrace the local way, then you can also bike here! the route is around 14 km from the city center and will take around 40 minutes

plus this is the best way to experience amager fælled along the way! 🌿

🦋 disclaimer: please don’t attempt to bike here and in general in copenhagen without learning the few but crucial biking rules in place

things to do in dragør✨

🌞 the best thing to do here is simply wander around and enjoy the village and its charming old buildings

⛵️ while here make sure to check out the gorgeous harbor and consider checking out the fort

🍃 the village is located near so much beautiful nature in west amager so consider going for a stroll or bike ride there afterwards

truly one of those spots where photos can’t do it justice (even though I tried my best) 🧚🏼‍♀️

✨ how to get here ✨

🚗 while you can visit by car and park at the bank top car park, I have also added public transportation directions as it’s fairly easy to visit as a day trip from York! 💭

✨ option 1 ✨

🚂 take the train from York to Scarsborough (50 minutes)

🚌 from the train station hop on the X93 or X94 coaster towards whitby, then switch to the X4A to captain cooks close (1.5 hours)

(best to combine with a stop at whitby to explore)

🚂 take the train from York to Middlesbrough to Staithes (1 hour)

🚌 from middlesborough bus station take the X4 to captain cooks close (1.5 hours)

welcome to the german alps, nestled in southern bavaria along the border with austria you will find some of the prettiest mountains in europe 😌

while im sure you may have seen some photos from the german alps (you definitely have if you’ve been following me for a while) these photos are a little different 🧚🏼‍♀️

you may notice that none of these photos (besides the first one) are of “the money shot” aka the views we often hike for 🍃

instead, these are a compilation of my favorite photos from the trails instead, those in between moments when you are hiking towards a view you have been looking forward to seeing ✨

when planning hikes, we often only think of the “reward view” at the top, (guilty as charged) but let this post be a reminder to us all that the journey is just as much a part of the destination, as there is beauty all around us in nature ⛰️

with hiking season approaching remember to take as many breaks as possible and enjoy the views along the way - they are just as beautiful as the peak itself 😌

after visiting in both winter and summer, this village is at the top of my list when it comes to the most incredible fairytale villages in germany 🥹

in case you don’t believe me - it has won countless titles as germanys prettiest village and I think it’s pretty easy to see why 💌

disclaimer: this is a popular spot to visit so you probably won’t be alone while visiting, therefore I recommend arriving as early as possible to also get some time to explore without the crowds (but also to embrace the crowds as they are part of the atmosphere)🧚🏼‍♀️

how to get here✨
🚊public transport: it takes 1 hour to get to rothenburg ob der tauber by public transportation from Nuremberg

1️⃣ take the train from nuremberg central station to ansbach

2️⃣ from here switch and take the train to steinach bei rothenburg ob der tauber

3️⃣ lastly from here take the train to rothenburg ob der tauber

while it may seem complicated I promise that it’s fine, you only have a few minutes to switch platforms between the trains but overall this was no problem since they are timed to fit visitors coming from nuremberg🌞

I recommend buying the train ticket in advance though for the full ride because you do not have time to buy new tickets on the stops 🤭

🚗 by car: I recommend parking at “P4 galgentor” as it’s located right by the old city and has a lot of spaces, a day ticket should cost around 7€

🚗 by car: it takes an hour to get here from Berlin. Park at the large space in Dammstraße 71, where it will cost you 7 euros for a day ticket 😇

🚂 by train: take RE2 from Ostkreuz to Lübbenau which will take around 50 minutes. from the station you can actually walk to all of the attractions🫶🏼

I bet you didn’t know that germany also looks like this 🥹🌿

welcome to the german alps, nestled in southern bavaria along the border with austria you will find some of the prettiest mountains in europe 😌

while im sure you may have seen some photos from the german alps (you definitely have if you’ve been following me for a while) these photos are a little different 🧚🏼‍♀️

you may notice that none of these photos (besides the first one) are of “the money shot” aka the views we often hike for 🍃

instead, these are a compilation of my favorite photos from the trails instead, those in between moments when you are hiking towards a view you have been looking forward to seeing ✨

when planning hikes, we often only think of the “reward view” at the top, (guilty as charged) but let this post be a reminder to us all that the journey is just as much a part of the destination, as there is beauty all around us in nature ⛰️

with hiking season approaching remember to take as many breaks as possible and enjoy the views along the way - they are just as beautiful as the peak itself 😌

and if you’ve never considered a hiking trip in germany, let this be your sign ☀️

after visiting in both winter and summer, this village is at the top of my list when it comes to the most incredible fairytale villages in germany 🥹

in case you don’t believe me - it has won countless titles as germanys prettiest village and I think it’s pretty easy to see why 💌

disclaimer: this is a popular spot to visit so you probably won’t be alone while visiting, therefore I recommend arriving as early as possible to also get some time to explore without the crowds (but also to embrace the crowds as they are part of the atmosphere)🧚🏼‍♀️

how to get here✨
🚊public transport: it takes 1 hour to get to rothenburg ob der tauber by public transportation from Nuremberg

1️⃣ take the train from nuremberg central station to ansbach

2️⃣ from here switch and take the train to steinach bei rothenburg ob der tauber

3️⃣ lastly from here take the train to rothenburg ob der tauber

while it may seem complicated I promise that it’s fine, you only have a few minutes to switch platforms between the trains but overall this was no problem since they are timed to fit visitors coming from nuremberg🌞

I recommend buying the train ticket in advance though for the full ride because you do not have time to buy new tickets on the stops 🤭

🚗 by car: I recommend parking at “P4 galgentor” as it’s located right by the old city and has a lot of spaces, a day ticket should cost around 7€

this is my absolute favorite day trip from Berlin (it’s only 1 hour away!) and its the perfect spring destination to visit 🥹

how to get here✨
🚗 by car: it takes an hour to get here from Berlin. Park at the large space in Dammstraße 71, where it will cost you 7 euros for a day ticket 😇

🚂 by train: take RE2 from Ostkreuz to Lübbenau which will take around 50 minutes. from the station you can actually walk to all of the attractions🫶🏼

🥾arrive in hohnstein and hike to bastei bridge, on your way back hike through schwedenlöcher

🌾 this hike is ~ 15.5 km in total
⌚️plan to spend 4-6 hours

🌆 explore bad schandau and the elbe river

sunday ✨
🥾 hike the kuhstall - idagrotte - wilde hölle route

🌾 the hike is between 10-15 km in total depending on the route you choose
⌚️plan for 5-6 hours spent here

📍iford manor

this is an absolute gem and one of the prettiest spring gardens in england 🌸

it’s located close to bath making it super easy to get here for a day trip 💌

✨ HOW TO ARRIVE ✨

to get here by public transportation simply take the train from bath spa to freshford (10 minutes) 🚂

then follow the countryside path to the gardens which takes around 25-30 minutes 🌿

it’s an easy walk filled with lovely views so don’t let it deter you from visiting ☀️

✨ THINGS TO KNOW ✨

🌷 the garden is open seasonally from the 1st of April until the 30th of September

📆 the gardens are closed on mondays and tuesdays

⏳opening hours are from 11:00 - 16:00 (last entry at 15:00)

💸 it costs £12 per adult to enter and it’s best to reserve your ticket in advance as there is limited capacity

💐 the garden is filled with stunning flower displays and beautiful architecture so plan to spend at least 2 hours here

🍝 there is a restaurant here that’s perfect to stop at for lunch but note that reservations are usually a must

🌸 I recommend visiting between mid april to mid may for peak wisteria season (it adds extra magic to the gardens 🧚🏼‍♀️)
