as a local I’m not surprised that Copenhagen got this ranking, from lots of green spaces and canals, colorful houses lining the streets, the hygge and biking culture, and focus on sustainability, I really do find Copenhagen to be a unique city in many ways 🌻

take @avantiwestcoast from London Euston to Oxenholme (2 hours 40 minutes) journey 🚂

at Oxenholme switch to the @northernrailway train to Windermere which is only 20 minutes, and offers stunning views of the English countryside 🌿

it’s no secret that iceland is filled with stunning places, but below is a list of 15 of my favorite spots that have become some of my most cherished memories from our trip there 💭

before sharing all of the locations I just wanted to remind you all that the nature in iceland is extremely fragile - please always stay on the trails! 🌿

the icelandic moss that is so well known and beloved can take up to a hundred years to regrow when you step on it so please be mindful of that on your trips! 🍃

in addition, remember to leave no trash behind to keep these otherworldly landscapes as beautiful as you experience them 💭

lastly, make sure to properly research each place you want to visit to make sure you know which vehicle you need to reach it, and whether there are weather restrictions, and other possible things to consider before attempting to visit 🌻

given the city of bath got its name from the roman baths built over 2,000 years ago, it’s probably no surprise that you can find the most incredible spa here 💭

but did you know that this is the only natural thermal spa in all of the UK? 😍

location ✨
📍thermae bath spa, bath

while you cannot try the water at the roman baths, you can experience them just across the road at this luxurious and stunning spa facility 📸

the spa uses hot mineral rich waters from kings spring, hetling spring, and cross spring meaning you can quite literally soak in the history of bath (pun intended) 🛁

@thermaebathspa has several facilities including the open-air rooftop pool, minerva bath, and multi-sensory wellness suite ✨

my favorite part here was by far the open-air rooftop pool because what can be better than enjoying the warm water with direct views of bath abbey 🥺

opening hours ✨
⏳ typical opening hours are 9:00 - 21:30 (can vary around holidays so check in advance)

entrance fee ✨
💸 it costs £42.50 for a 2 hour spa session from Monday to Friday (on Saturday - Sunday it’s £47.50)

your visit includes a 2 hours session with entrance to all facilities, towel, robe, and lockers 🍃

some things to note ✨

🧖🏼‍♀️this is an adults only spa so minimum age is 16

🎟️ I recommend booking your session online to ensure availability but there are also some walk in tickets (come early to secure your spot!)

⛱️ there is also the cross bath across the street (private/ small group experience) that can be booked separately (costs £40 per person for a 1.5 hour session)

overall, this is such a fun experience in bath and the perfect way to relax while enjoying a crucial part of the local history (definitely a win-win) 💌

getting to Brussels with the Eurostar train is super convenient and comfortable with an @interraileu pass since you don’t have to worry about the high costs! 🚂

📍eibsee, germany

this lake is absolutely stunning but best enjoyed when the sun is shining so the water gets super blue and the sky is clear so you can enjoy views over Germanys tallest mountain (zugspitze)⛰️

to get here put “parkplatz am eibsee” in your navigation system, there is usually lots of parking however try to come early as spots can run out on a beautiful day🍃

parking here costs 8€ but this is normal for most spots in the area 🚗

if you don’t have a car with you, you can take the EibseeBus from Garmisch-Partenkirchen which takes 45 minutes and should be free with the regional guest cards 🚌

once you arrive make sure to hike around the whole lake to best enjoy the scenery 🌻

the route is 7 km long and is quite easy especially if hiking in the counterclock direction. Start by heading towards untersee from the parking lot and then continue on the rundweg trail 🌿

not only do you have less of an incline taking this route, but you get the best views over the lake from this side, so make sure to leave time for some photos at the start of your walk📸

lastly, swimming here is allowed but the water is cold even in the summer🏊🏼‍♀️

you can bring a paddle board or even rent some paddle boats near the eibsee hotel, so make sure to plan some extra time for water activities 🛶

given the city of bath got its name from the roman baths built over 2,000 years ago, it’s probably no surprise that you can find the most incredible spa here 💭

but did you know that this is the only natural thermal spa in all of the UK? 😍

location ✨
📍thermae bath spa, bath

while you cannot try the water at the roman baths, you can experience them just across the road at this luxurious and stunning spa facility 📸

the spa uses hot mineral rich waters from kings spring, hetling spring, and cross spring meaning you can quite literally soak in the history of bath (pun intended) 🛁

@thermaebathspa has several facilities including the open-air rooftop pool, minerva bath, and multi-sensory wellness suite ✨

my favorite part here was by far the open-air rooftop pool because what can be better than enjoying the warm water with direct views of bath abbey 🥺

opening hours ✨
⏳ typical opening hours are 9:00 - 21:30 (can vary around holidays so check in advance)

entrance fee ✨
💸 it costs £42.50 for a 2 hour spa session from Monday to Friday (on Saturday - Sunday it’s £47.50)

your visit includes a 2 hours session with entrance to all facilities, towel, robe, and lockers 🍃

some things to note ✨

🧖🏼‍♀️this is an adults only spa so minimum age is 16

🎟️ I recommend booking your session online to ensure availability but there are also some walk in tickets (come early to secure your spot!)

⛱️ there is also the cross bath across the street (private/ small group experience) that can be booked separately (costs £40 per person for a 1.5 hour session)

overall, this is such a fun experience in bath and the perfect way to relax while enjoying a crucial part of the local history (definitely a win-win) 💌

getting to Brussels with the Eurostar train is super convenient and comfortable with an @interraileu pass since you don’t have to worry about the high costs! 🚂

it also makes it super easy to plan a last minute trip and go one stop further when exploring Europe! ✨

📍eibsee, germany

this lake is absolutely stunning but best enjoyed when the sun is shining so the water gets super blue and the sky is clear so you can enjoy views over Germanys tallest mountain (zugspitze)⛰️

to get here put “parkplatz am eibsee” in your navigation system, there is usually lots of parking however try to come early as spots can run out on a beautiful day🍃

parking here costs 8€ but this is normal for most spots in the area 🚗

if you don’t have a car with you, you can take the EibseeBus from Garmisch-Partenkirchen which takes 45 minutes and should be free with the regional guest cards 🚌

once you arrive make sure to hike around the whole lake to best enjoy the scenery 🌻

the route is 7 km long and is quite easy especially if hiking in the counterclock direction. Start by heading towards untersee from the parking lot and then continue on the rundweg trail 🌿

not only do you have less of an incline taking this route, but you get the best views over the lake from this side, so make sure to leave time for some photos at the start of your walk📸

lastly, swimming here is allowed but the water is cold even in the summer🏊🏼‍♀️

you can bring a paddle board or even rent some paddle boats near the eibsee hotel, so make sure to plan some extra time for water activities 🛶

📝 take the direct bus from either windermere or ambleside

📸 explore grasmere (one of the most picturesque villages in the central lakes)
📝 the same bus going to rydal church continues to grasmere or hike from rydal church

🌳 do the full or mini tree-trek route at @zip_world for a fun activity!
📝 located at Brockhole on Windermere - you can either take the bus or lake cruise here

🏡 check out the grot in rydal (aka the most picture perfect spot in the Lake District!)
📝 located in the rydal hall gardens and can easily be combined with a visit to rydal church

🌚 explore the fascinating rydal cave (old slate quarry)
📝 it takes around 20 minutes to hike here from rydal church

🍝 have a delicious lunch with a view at @forcecafeambleside
📝 the ultimate lunch spot in ambleside and the perfect location to combine with other of the activities

🌿 see the waterfall of stock ghyll force
📝 located just across from force cafe, for an extra activity hike to wansfell pike after

🏘️ explore the stunning ambleside
📝 I recommend taking the lake cruise to waterhead pier and then walking to ambleside (can also take a bus)

⛰️ hike up easedale tarn from grasmere
📝 takes around 40 minutes each way and is an easy (but very worthy!) hike

⛴️ explore the lake with @windermerelakecruises
📝 this is the best way to the see windermere (I recommend the red cruise line)

🌻 explore windermere (the village)
📝 highlights here include the church and queen adelaide’s hill

🛌 stay at @lamplighter_dining_rooms
📝 the hotel is conveniently located right by the train station and by the trail to orrest head

🌾 hike up orrest head
📝 it’s an easy 20 minutes hike with stunning views over windermere

🚂 PS. for a car free visit take the @avantiwestcoast train to Oxenholme and then switch to the @northernrailway to windermere

if you’re looking for the cutest seaside escape in england then look no further than the Yorkshire coast filled with stunning spots to explore 🌊

that being said, there is one village that stands out among the rest as it’s truly the most picturesque spot along the coast 📸

📍robin hood’s bay

as if the name is not enough to convince you of its magic, then I hope these clips do it justice 🧚🏼‍♀️

✨ how to get here ✨

🚗 while you can visit by car and park just outside the old town I have also added public transportation directions as it’s super easy to visit as a day trip from York! 💭

🚂 take the train from York to Scarsborough (50 minutes)

🚌 from the train station hop on the X93 or X94 coaster towards whitby, getting off at robin hood’s bay (around 40 minutes)

✨ what to do at robin hood’s bay ✨

honestly the village is small enough to explore all of the picturesque streets getting lost among them 😌

however here are a couple extra suggestions that you shouldn’t miss while here! 🌿

📍the cove cafe
📍view from top of main road
📍view from king street
📍cleveland way to the beach
📍hike up to the viewpoint along cleveland way from the beach lookout spot

✨ how long to spend here ✨

you can easily explore the village in around 2 hours, but I recommend making a day trip out of it, as you can relax at the beach or hike along the coastline 🍃
