it took me over 6 months after my iceland trip to finally get around to editing my drone footage but I finally did it 😅

looking over this footage made me both nostalgic over the trip of a lifetime, but it also made me a little jealous that the birds in iceland get to see views like these every day 😮‍💨

while there are SO many places that are worth flying your drone over in iceland, the weather will not always allow it 🙈

luckily the weather was good enough to fly in for a lot of the trip and allowed me to capture these incredible spots! 🌋

while you can fly over most places in iceland, do check online maps beforehand and check for signs at popular attractions to ensure you are only flying where allowed 🌿

in addition, check up on the latest drone rules before flying as iceland has recently implemented new drone laws 💭

one thing I love about social media is how I’ve gotten inspired to enjoy beautiful architecture and interior based on beautiful locations others have shared 💭

while I have always loved stunning exteriors, I have often focused on raw beauty that comes from nature 🌿

that being said, I’ve learned to enjoy the beauty of details when it comes to buildings, and this has to be one of the prettiest shops I have ever stumbled upon 🥺

🕰️ the shop is closed on Sunday and Wednesday

⏳ on weekdays it’s open from 10:00 - 16:00 and on weekends it’s open from 10:00 - 18:00

this shop is also known as “the most beautiful milk shop in the world” 🥛

it was originally opened in 1892 by the Pfund brothers in dresden and it it features hand painted tiles from Villeroy & Boch 🎨

the focus of the shop was to supply locals with regional high quality products and the shop still operates in this manner today 😇

when visiting you can find a variety of local cheeses, milk varieties, and other regional products in the original shop or in the added section in the back 🧀

today the shop is best known for its beautiful decoration and makes for a popular attraction in dresden, but even though it can get crowded I still think it’s highly worth a visit! ✨

this is seriously one of the most stunning places I have visited in england and it’s quite an easy day trip from london!😻

as always remember to leave no trace and follow the rules of the national park!🥰

how to visit ✨
🚗 by car: I recommend splitting it into two stops, first drive to “south hill barn car park” where you can park for free (1.5 hours drive from london)

from here you can go down to the coastguard cottages viewpoint and then head back to the car once you’re done 🦋

then drive to “birling gap and the seven sisters car park” (costs £3 for 2 hours or £6 for a day) and then continue exploring from here🌞

🚊by public transport: coming by public transport will take roughly two hours but it’s so worth it! there are several ways to get here including taking the train to Brighton, seaford, or eastbourne and then hopping on a local bus! 🌿

to try to make it as easy as possible I’ve outlined the route through Brighton below but feel free to choose any of the three options!🌸

🚂 Start by taking the train from london victoria to brighton (1 hour)

🚌 then take the 12x coaster from brighton station going to cornfield road north for 1 hour and 10 minutes and get off at east dean garage

from here walk 30 minutes to birling gap but if you want to check out the coastguard cottages then get off at seaford and walk along the coast 🧚🏼‍♀️

I’ve always heard that Bavaria is beautiful but nobody prepared me for JUST HOW beautiful it truly is 🥺

honestly not even these clips can do it justice 🌿

but it’s safe to say that after my first trip I fell in love and I’ve been coming back to explore more ever since 💭

before going into the locations, please remember to do additional research before attempting to visit these places, especially the hikes!🍃

some of these hikes are demanding a require a higher fitness level, in addition, make sure to only hike in good weather and do not attempt them in winter or if wet and slippery ⛰️

located just 30 minutes away from the city center and just 10(!) minutes away from the airport, it’s actually so easy to visit this charming village 🧚🏼‍♀️

as a local who has seen a fair share of cute danish villages, this one quickly became my favorite 😮‍💨

in addition, denmark is known for its beautiful countryside, and this is a great way to experience that just outside the city🌞

how to get here by public transport ✨
🚌 from the city center: from the city hall (Rådhuspladsen) you can take bus 250S to dragør stationsplads. The bus ride lasts around 45 minutes.

✈️ from the airport: take bus 35 going towards sundbyvester plads and ride it for 15 minutes until you reach dragør stationplads (it comes every 15 minutes or so)

other ways to get here ✨
🚗 by car: it will take just under 30 minutes to drive here from the city center and you can find parking by the harbor

🚴🏼‍♀️ by bike: if you want to embrace the local way, then you can also bike here! the route is around 14 km from the city center and will take around 40 minutes

🦋 disclaimer: please don’t attempt to bike here and in general in copenhagen without learning the few but crucial biking rules in place

things to do in dragør✨

🌞 the best thing to do here is simply wander around and enjoy the village and its charming old buildings

🍃 the village is located near so much beautiful nature in west amager so consider going for a stroll or bike ride there afterwards

on your last day hike up to schafberg and then take a dip at wolfgangsee

the hike up is around 14km total with an elevation gain of roughly 1,100 meters, and will take around 7-8 hours to complete ⛰️

alternatively, you can take the cogtrain for 51€ return trip or 36€ one way and hike the other 🚂

once back down, make sure to stop at wolfgangsee to cool down and enjoy the views 🍃

the hike is located near bad hindelang in allgaü and while I never want to gatekeep any locations, I also want to make sure anyone planning to visit researches this hike properly to ensure a safe and respectful visit 🫶🏼

the reason I don’t want to share the name here is that this can be a dangerous hike and so it’s important that you read up on the trail, and also there have been disrespectful tourists visiting which I would like to avoid by educating anyone looking to visit on how to be respectful of this natural gem 🌺

some things to consider✨

🚶🏼‍♀️the hiking distance is around 16 km total and it is considered a moderate-hard hike

⛰️ the total elevation gain of this hike is around 1,000 meters

🌞 this hike is NOT safe in bad weather, so make sure to check the weather forecast beforehand.

☔️ we had the most incredible sunshine during the day and out of nowhere a hail and thunderstorm started just as we were beginning our decent, safe to say that it was the most dangerous hiking experience of my life and therefore make sure to bring extra clothes in case of rain (hiking poles will also help)

🛸 drones are not allowed here so please respect the rules. In addition, do not leave any trash behind and make sure to always stay on the trail

🚂 can be visited by car or public transport from nürnberg (around a 1 hour journey each way)

📍bibury, england

🚂 it takes around 1.5 hours to drive here from either Birmingham or Bath and 1 hour from Oxford, while arriving by public transport is a little harder it’s doable and takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes from Oxford

📍giethoorn, the netherlands

🚂 can be visited by both car and public transport although a car is recommended. It takes around 1.5 hours to drive here from Amsterdam and around 2 hours by public transport each way

📍limone sul garda, italy

🚂 it takes around 1.5 hours to drive here from Verona and 3 hours each way by public transport. Alternatively you can get here from Trento which takes just over 1 hour by car and a little over 2 hours by public transport

📍hallstatt, austria

🚂 hallstatt can be easily visited from Salzburg as it takes around 1.5 hours to drive here and around 2.5 hours to get here by public transport

📍ponta da piedade, portugal

🚂 getting here from Lagos is super easy as it’s just a 12 minute drive or a short bus ride and walk making it 30 minutes to get here by public transport

I’ve been dreaming of visiting dresden during Christmas time for 3 years now, and I finally made that dream come true this weekend 💭

after seeing a reel with this view I knew that I had to stay here to enjoy the most magical view of the oldest Christmas market in the world 🥺🎄

this is the 📍striezelmarkt Christmas market in dresden which originates to 1434 🎠

it’s considered the oldest Christmas market in the world as it was the first market held with the intention of opening a true Christmas market 🧑🏼‍🎄

if you want to stay here and enjoy views like this then make sure to stay at Star G Hotel which is located right on the Altmarkt where the market is held ✨

not all rooms face the Christmas market so during your booking you can ask for a room facing the Christmas market and hope that you will be able to get this view 💭

(remember to of course be respectful and the staff is very kind and will often try to provide you with a room of your preference based on availability) 🫶🏼

spend the day at the picture perfect village of hallstatt

arrive early and park at “parkplatz P7” to explore the village before it gets busy 🙈

when the crowds start to arrive go and explore the salt mines, or the skywalk. alternatively you can also explore the lake or go on a nearby hike ✨

✨day 3✨
on your last day hike up to schafberg and then take a dip at wolfgangsee

the hike up is around 14km total with an elevation gain of roughly 1,100 meters, and will take around 7-8 hours to complete ⛰️

alternatively, you can take the cogtrain for 51€ return trip or 36€ one way and hike the other 🚂

once back down, make sure to stop at wolfgangsee to cool down and enjoy the views 🍃

the hike is located near bad hindelang in allgaü and while I never want to gatekeep any locations, I also want to make sure anyone planning to visit researches this hike properly to ensure a safe and respectful visit 🫶🏼

the reason I don’t want to share the name here is that this can be a dangerous hike and so it’s important that you read up on the trail, and also there have been disrespectful tourists visiting which I would like to avoid by educating anyone looking to visit on how to be respectful of this natural gem 🌺

some things to consider✨

🚶🏼‍♀️the hiking distance is around 16 km total and it is considered a moderate-hard hike

⛰️ the total elevation gain of this hike is around 1,000 meters

🌞 this hike is NOT safe in bad weather, so make sure to check the weather forecast beforehand.

☔️ we had the most incredible sunshine during the day and out of nowhere a hail and thunderstorm started just as we were beginning our decent, safe to say that it was the most dangerous hiking experience of my life and therefore make sure to bring extra clothes in case of rain (hiking poles will also help)

🛸 drones are not allowed here so please respect the rules. In addition, do not leave any trash behind and make sure to always stay on the trail

📍rothenburg ob der tauber, germany

🚂 can be visited by car or public transport from nürnberg (around a 1 hour journey each way)

📍bibury, england

🚂 it takes around 1.5 hours to drive here from either Birmingham or Bath and 1 hour from Oxford, while arriving by public transport is a little harder it’s doable and takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes from Oxford

📍giethoorn, the netherlands

🚂 can be visited by both car and public transport although a car is recommended. It takes around 1.5 hours to drive here from Amsterdam and around 2 hours by public transport each way

📍limone sul garda, italy

🚂 it takes around 1.5 hours to drive here from Verona and 3 hours each way by public transport. Alternatively you can get here from Trento which takes just over 1 hour by car and a little over 2 hours by public transport

📍hallstatt, austria

🚂 hallstatt can be easily visited from Salzburg as it takes around 1.5 hours to drive here and around 2.5 hours to get here by public transport

📍ponta da piedade, portugal

🚂 getting here from Lagos is super easy as it’s just a 12 minute drive or a short bus ride and walk making it 30 minutes to get here by public transport

I’ve been dreaming of visiting dresden during Christmas time for 3 years now, and I finally made that dream come true this weekend 💭

after seeing a reel with this view I knew that I had to stay here to enjoy the most magical view of the oldest Christmas market in the world 🥺🎄

this is the 📍striezelmarkt Christmas market in dresden which originates to 1434 🎠

it’s considered the oldest Christmas market in the world as it was the first market held with the intention of opening a true Christmas market 🧑🏼‍🎄

if you want to stay here and enjoy views like this then make sure to stay at Star G Hotel which is located right on the Altmarkt where the market is held ✨

not all rooms face the Christmas market so during your booking you can ask for a room facing the Christmas market and hope that you will be able to get this view 💭

(remember to of course be respectful and the staff is very kind and will often try to provide you with a room of your preference based on availability) 🫶🏼

while I absolutely love berlin, I think my favorite thing is all of the day trips that are accessible from the city 🍃

I love that there is such a variety of nature and beautiful architecture that can be visited in just a few hours 🌻

remember that any place you decide to visit to respect the locals, never leave trash behind, and to follow the trails and regulations of any park you visit 💭

below are 8 amazing day trips from Berlin within a 3 hours driving distance (some will be better as weekend trips but can still be done in a day if you wish)🏰

all of these spots can also be accessed by public transport, however, if you visit with public transport I would recommend staying overnight if visiting basteibrücke and rakotzbrücke 🫶🏼
